Tech enthusiasts may be preparing to recycle mobile phones for cash to help them get their hands on the new T-Mobile G2 - also known as the HTC Desire Z - when it finally gets released.
Although the device has yet to be officially announced by HTC, images of it have been found by tech news site cellphonesignal.com, portraying a slimline handset with a slide-out keyboard.
Furthermore, the website managed to obtain detailed technical specifications for the smartphone, revealing that it will carry a five-megapixel camera with autofocus and will run the Android operating system with HTC Sense.
It will be powered by a 1GHz Snapdragon processor and also offer 3G HSPA+, which should make it capable of browsing the web at speeds of up to 11Mb/s.
This is particularly impressive, given that Ofcom recently revealed the average home broadband speed in the UK currently stands at less than half that figure - 5.2Mb/s.
