HTC Desire wins positive review
(26/08/2010 16:45:06)

Consumers looking to recycle their mobile phones may wish to upgrade to an HTC Desire after the handset was given the thumbs-up by reviewers.

According to Chris Marling of BroadbandGenie, this product runs on an Android 2.1 operating system with a Snapdragon processor.

He singled out the phone's 3.7-inch touchscreen for praise, as this helps it to keep pace with HTC's rivals in the smartphone market.

Mr Marlin noted that the company is increasingly making a name for itself in this lucrative sector, as it has led the way in developing touch and wireless handheld devices for more than ten years.

However, he admitted that unless people are aficionados of smartphones, they may be unlikely to know the name, as brands such as Sony Ericsson and Nokia are more familiar.

Mr Marlin said that while HTC may be a "perceived new kid on the block", consumers should trust it to deliver the goods.

The HTC Desire has already been hyped by the manufacturer as the "richest way to visually experience" content such as photographs and news websites.
