Consumers may wish to recycle their mobile phone after details of a new BlackBerry device emerged.
MobileBurn obtained video clips which seem to showcase features of a smartphone from manufacturer Research in Motion (RIM).
The handset, which is understood to be the upcoming BlackBerry 9670, includes an optical trackpad, a QWERTY keyboard and an external touchscreen display.
In addition, the flip phone also appears to make use of the BlackBerry 6 operating system.
However, Todd Haselton of MobileBurn was keen to stress that RIM has not announced any details of its next BlackBerry device yet and that any information is still "based upon rumour and/or speculation".
He added that a release date for the company's next smartphone has also not yet been confirmed.
This coincides with the release of the BlackBerry Pearl 3G handset to consumers in South Africa.
According to the manufacturer, this is a powerful smartphone that features an "impressively compact and elegant design".
