Consumers looking to recycle their mobile phone and upgrade to a Nokia smartphone could have the manufacturer's latest product within a matter of weeks.
According to TechWatch, the Nokia N8 is expected to be rolled out in the UK at the start of next month.
Indeed, the website noted that a number of web-based retailers are now saying the device will be available from October 8th 2010.
Darren Allan, a writer at TechWatch, said this means that Nokia's online store should begin exclusively retailing the handset at an earlier date.
Vlad Savov of Engadget is another excited commentator who is looking forward to the release of the smartphone.
"Chances are looking pretty good that October will start with the N8 finally in eager users' hands," he stated.
Mr Savov and Mr Allan were speaking after Tapani Kaskinen, senior communications manager at Nokia, told the Kauppalehti newspaper in Finland that the handset will begin shipping on September 30th.
