At last! It looks like Nokia have finally extracted their finger from wherever it has been stuck and produced a smartphone worthy of their illustrious name. But you’ll have to wait until June to get your mitts on it.
Ever since the mobile phone went ‘smart’ a few years ago now, Nokia have struggled to keep pace with the other mobile phone big-hitters. Despite selling a phone a minute on average around the world, these figures all revolve around the relatively low-end market in predominantly emergent economies.
All of this is set to change with the release of the Lumia 900. This 4.3-inch Windows Phone Mango device was smattered in praised upon its unveiling at CES 2012, but until now has been billed as an AT&T exclusive in the United States.
Tech enthusiasts who are chomping at the mega-byte for the new Lumia 900 will be wondering whether to sell old mobile phones in order to switch allegiance to the Nokia brand who, before now, have been left outside the exclusive smartphone club.
