Research In Motion’s (RIM) Blackberry Playbook tablets have taken a massive hit as sales decline in the US and UK spiralling losses of £230 million. Prices for the tablet have been reduced in a desperate attempt to boost sales.
The 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB models have been slashed in price by more than £200 at Carphone Warehouse and Amazon. Price cuts are occurring in both the UK and US. Amazon is selling the 16 GB Playbook for only $249, down from $499. Carphone Warehouse is selling the playbook for £279, while Curry’s still carry the tablet at a cost of £329. The original price of this tablet was £559. It is still expected that Blackberry will release a new model this year despite news saying that customer interest have been poor.
The RIM Blackberry Playbook has a 7 inch screen 1024x600pixels display. It has dual core Cortex-A9 clocked at 1GHz . There is no Micro-SD card slot but massive storage capacity. At £279 this is excellent value for money. I want to sell my mobile to a phone recycling company like Fonebank.com because cash for mobile is a quick way for me to get money for the Blackberry Playbook.
