HTC are looking to put their disappointing end to 2011 behind them by sprucing up their high-end smartphone range. They’ll be hoping the announcement of two new quad-core smartphones will have the desired effect and reinvigorate the sales figures for the first quarter of 2012.
The forward-thinking mobile phone manufacturers have pulled the curtain back on two new handsets which were formally exhibited at this year’s MWC in Las Vegas. This showpiece technology event in America’s Sin City is the annual techie workshop for high-street brands and gadget enthusiasts to mingle in a sea of new ideas and upcoming products.
In amongst the mountains of haute-electronics were paraded the two new HTC handsets: keen to show off the new quad-core technology hidden within. HTC have recently found the process of selling a mobile phone to the cash-strapped consumer has become rather difficult, no matter how much exciting new tech they pour into each handset. With quad-core technology, however, experts believe that HTC have lit the touch paper on the next breed of mobile smartphone.
Samsung, LG and Motorola have all been sniffing around quad-core technology for some time now, it seems the market is just waiting for one brave soul to test the waters before they all, inevitably, dive right in.
