Vodafone Business has announced that it will no longer provide its current mobile broadband packages for overseas mobile users and that new roaming tariffs are to be introduced.
The overseas mobile broadband packages, available on overseas packages from European mobile broadband providers did not generate enough consumer interest to sustain the offer. At the same time anyone on the Vodafone Passport tariff will receive roaming and messages free from 1st June in 35 counties.
The company also announced a pay as you go plan for overseas mobile services too.
This move will add to their financial problems given they’ve made a £6 billion loss in Turkey and Spain, blamed on the recession.
Of course this coincides with EU regulations to ensure more reasonable charges apply across the European Union, which is forcing mobile companies to review their tariffs on plans for people who want Internet access and data while travelling abroad
