Vodafone UK is soon to launch Nexus One, the first Android-based mobile phone by HTC available for direct purchase from Google's web stores. Interested users will have to enter into a two year contract with the mobile carrier.
Features sported by the Nexus One device include a 3.7inch touchscreen display, a 5-megapixel camera with auto focus, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, built in GPS navigation, MP3 player, email and messaging facilities and a good battery back up. Nexus One offers all Google services designed for the Android OS through which users can easily access YouTube, Gmail, or Google Maps and can download various applications from the Android Market too.
“Take all things Google with you when you're out and about. The powerful new Nexus One from Google combines the latest in hardware with the newest Android software - making it super fast for Internet browsing, Google Maps, YouTube and more. Want apps? Check out Android Market. It's packed with apps for everything - from games, news, weather and mobile banking to Facebook and Spotify,” Vodafone says.
Although the Nexus One has been listed on the Vodafone's website in its 'coming soon' section, the specific time regarding its availability is yet to be confirmed. It is expected the device will be available at stores before the end of April.
