The UK network provider Vodafone has finally announced the release date of the HTC Desire on its network. The latest Android-based smartphone will be hitting UK Vodafone stores from 8th April 2010, much earlier than the anticipated date of release as revealed by the latest report.
Other than Vodafone, the much-awaited Android device is also going to be available on another UK mobile operator, Orange from 2nd April 2010. The announcement came immediately after the move taken by Carphone Warehouse as the first to offer the smartphone on T-Mobile ahead of the other network operators.
However, for pre-orders the phone will be available from 13th of next month and users can find the pre-order page live on Vodafone's homepage.
The Desire will compete in the market at a price of £30 per month, which is a two year deal by Vodafone. The deal further offers 900 free minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB Internet to customers if bought online. The deals are likely to be the same as those offered by T-Mobile, although the price offered by Virgin is comparatively cheaper.
