Cox Communications have thrown their hat into the smartphone app ring with the release of the Cox Mobile Connect application. This new release is compatible with the iPad, iPhone and Android platforms and will allow users to manage their voicemails and messages, whilst also being able to program their DVR’s.
The app allows users to flit through TV listings at their leisure, and then schedule home recordings whilst out and about, so you will never have to miss the dramatic climax of your favourite drama series.
With all your home recording nicely arranged and in order, this Cox Mobile Connect app will also allow you to view all your home call logs and access your voicemails, so you can listen to all your friends who will be ringing to remind you to watch the last episode in the series no doubt. Unfortunately, this new app does not allow you telly addicts to stream and watch video, which would have been a nifty little feature. This noticeable omission in capabilities also leaves the Cox connect app looking slightly anaemic in comparison to the Comcast iOS app.
For those of you who are yet to take the plunge in to the smartphone pool now might be the perfect opportunity to upgrade from your stuffy old traditional feature handset and get to grips with one of the many cutting-edge smartphones available on the market.
This Mobile Connect app is just one member in the huge, weird and wonderful app world. With thousands of more apps in development for various platforms, whether it is Apple, Android or Windows 7.
Choosing a new smartphone is the fun part, paying for it, however is not so enjoyable. One trick the consumer does have up their sleeve is mobile phone recycling. If you are buying a new top of the range model, chances are you will be replacing an old device, by selling mobile phones online, you can dramatically reduce the initial cost of your upgrade.
