Google’s web-search system has had a tune-up in a bid to produce more accurate results to user’s queries.
Rather than squirting out a list of Blue link websites, Google’s new system will provide the user with a much more comprehensive breakdown of their inquiry. It will also present more facts and direct answers to queries at the top of the search-results page.
The changes being made could affect countless websites which have been tailored to make the most of the old system; in terms of receiving traffic and exposure.
Amit Singhal, a Google search executive, said Google search will look more like "how humans understand the world," quite rightly alluding to the fact that with today’s search engines we quite often: " cross our fingers and hope there's a Web page out there with the answer." Google are building the ‘next generation’ of search engine.
Semantic-search experts believe that these changes to Google’s system will buttress their market share in a hugely competitive area.
