Internet giants have Google have streamlined their online payment services by merging the existing Google Checkout service with Google Wallet, which will now ne the umbrella brand for convenient payment on the move using your smartphone.

‘Checkout’ was, of course, Google's original offering for online payments, serving up a method to "quickly and easily buy from stores across the web and track all your orders and shipping in one place."
The internet giants are now offering consumers the chance to switch to the ‘Wallet’ system, which was essentially Google’s mobile version of Checkout.
Google wallet was always going to be the future as the field of consumer electronics has seen people selling old mobiles and upgrading to web-enabled smartphones, it was the logical step to create a system for smooth, safe and convenient mobile payments.
