Stephen Fry fans who are thinking of recycling their mobile phone may have found the perfect excuse to upgrade to an Apple iPhone.
The actor, comic and broadcaster has published his autobiography as an iPhone app, which offers a number of interactive features to readers.
While bookworms can still obtain a copy in a more traditional hardback format, The Fry Chronicles has been designed to give consumers a different experience to iPhone users.
Jeremy Ettinghausen, spokesman for publishing firm Penguin, commented: "We've created the perfect format for dipping in and out of and exploring books in a more playful way."
He added that the myFry app contains every word of the book, but is presented in a "new way".
Fry is a keen fan of modern technology and is one of the most popular names on social networking site Twitter.
He is well-known as the host of QI, as well as for his work with Hugh Laurie of House fame.
The actor also starred as Melchett in the Blackadder series alongside Rowan Atkinson.
